Bucket and Cylinder
Product Code : EL-LE-16340
Eduscope India is a leading Bucket and Cylinder
Quick Answer: The Bucket and Cylinder is a brass Archimedes'-principle apparatus consisting of a solid cylinder that fits snugly inside a hollow bucket, used to demonstrate that a submerged body loses weight equal to the weight of water it displaces.
As a mechanics lab equipment India apparatus, EduScope India supplies this Bucket and Cylinder set for physics laboratories demonstrating that a body submerged in water loses weight equal to its own volume of displaced water. The set consists of a solid cylinder that fits snugly inside a hollow bucket, so that when the cylinder is lowered into water while suspended inside the bucket, students can directly observe the weight loss due to displacement. The cylinder is fitted with a suspension hook at one end for easy attachment to a spring balance or similar support, and the set is constructed in brass, with pipe components 45 mm in length. It pairs naturally with EduScope India's Nicholson Hydrometer for a fuller range of physics lab equipment used in density and displacement experiments.
