Eduscope India is a leading Burners Manufacturer, and suppliers in Delhi India
EduScope India's Burners range covers gas and flameless heating equipment for chemistry demonstrations, microbiology sterilization and general laboratory heating in school, college and clinical teaching laboratories, supplied as part of the company's wider Laboratory Appliances line for TVET institutes, universities and research facilities.
Bunsen, Tirrill, Meker-Fisher or Teclu — which burner type suits your work?
The Bunsen burner is the standard single-tube laboratory burner, with a barrel air intake adjusted by hand or a collar to move between a luminous (safety) flame and a hotter, non-luminous flame. The Tirrill burner adds a needle-valve gas control at the base alongside the air control, giving finer, more repeatable flame adjustment for demonstration and practical work. The Meker-Fisher burner replaces the plain tube outlet with a perforated grid, spreading the flame into a wider, more uniform, higher-temperature pattern suited to work that needs sustained high heat. The Teclu burner uses a conical air-intake tube with a knurled adjusting ring at the base, giving very fine control over the air-to-gas ratio. Micro burners produce a small flame sized for flame-sterilizing inoculation loops and other microbiology bench work, and spirit lamps run on alcohol rather than gas, making them useful where a gas supply line isn't available.
Gas supply and safety features
Laboratory burners in this range run on LPG or piped laboratory gas, connected via a gas tap and rubber tubing, or on an LPG cylinder with a regulator where piped gas isn't installed. Models are built with a stable, weighted base for bench safety, and most gas burners include an on/off gas cock at the burner itself in addition to the bench gas tap. For labs that restrict or cannot supply open flame, an electric (flameless) burner is a common substitute for routine heating tasks that don't require a direct flame.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a Bunsen burner and a Tirrill burner?
Both use the same barrel-and-air-intake design. A Tirrill burner adds a needle-valve gas control at the base, so the gas flow — not just the air intake — can be fine-tuned, giving more repeatable flame control.
When would I choose a Meker-Fisher burner over a standard Bunsen burner?
The Meker-Fisher burner's perforated-grid top spreads the flame wider and holds a higher, more even temperature than a plain Bunsen flame, which suits applications that need sustained high heat over a broader area.
Do these burners need a piped gas supply?
Most models connect to LPG or piped laboratory gas via a gas tap and tubing. Where piped gas isn't available, an LPG cylinder with a regulator, or a spirit lamp, is a common alternative.
What if my lab can't use an open gas flame?
An electric (flameless) burner provides controlled heating without a gas connection or open flame, and is commonly used where gas supply is restricted or unavailable.
Can these burners be supplied against a government or institutional tender?
Yes. EduScope India prepares itemised quotations against a bill of quantities and supports a Manufacturer's Authorisation Form, technical datasheets, Certificate of Origin, packing lists and HS codes. Submit specifications via the Tenders/OEM page.
Can burners be quoted alongside other Laboratory Appliances, like heating mantles or water baths?
Yes. Submit your burner requirement together with Heating Mantle, Laboratory Water Bath or any other Laboratory Appliances subcategory via Contact Us for one consolidated quotation.
