Eduscope India is a leading Dip Circle Apparatus

The EduScope India Dip Circle Apparatus (laboratory type) is used to measure the angle of dip — the angle the Earth's magnetic field makes with the horizontal — and forms part of EduScope India's range of physics laboratory equipment.

Construction and specifications

The instrument has a steel needle mounted on jeweled bearings, free to rotate in a vertical plane, together with a circular metal scale and an anti-parallax mirror, both rotatable about the vertical axis. It is made in brass, with a scale diameter of 150 mm graduated in 1-inch divisions, a reading range of 0-90°, and a vernier reading to 360°. It is supplied complete with an extra needle, dimensionally identical to the first but left un-magnetized, for comparison readings.
