A polarity-coded plug-in lead fitted with alligator clips is included, allowing quick and correctly oriented connection to an external circuit, meter, or lamp for hands-on experiments. Turning the hand crank rotates a coil within a magnetic field inside the housing, inducing an electromotive force by electromagnetic induction and converting the student's mechanical effort directly into electrical energy. The generator delivers 6V DC output and can supply up to 400mA of current, enough to power small classroom loads such as an LED, buzzer, or lamp connected through the supplied leads.
