Construction and Specifications
The instrument is fitted with two mounts for installing strings of different linear densities, each with a sliding bridge for varying the string length and a string guide to keep the string correctly seated. String tension is applied through a tensioning lever offering a 5x mechanical advantage over the hanging mass, with a built-in spirit level for checking that the lever is level. A soundboard resonates the strings when a tuning fork is placed on it, adjustable feet allow the instrument to be levelled, and thumbscrews secure the lever and peg ends during assembly.
