Electrostatics Electroscope
Product Code : EL-PLE-16068Eduscope India is a leading Electrostatics Electroscope Quick Answer:The Electrostatics Electroscope is a gold-leaf electroscope with a 0-90 degree acrylic scale, used to detect and compare static charge in electrostatics demonstrations — a durable, export-ready choice for institutions sourcing dependablephysics lab equipment Indiaand reliablelaboratory equipment school Indiawide.
Construction and Specifications
The instrument is housed in a rectangular sheet-metal case mounted on an insulated base, with removable front and back sliding glass panels — one clear and one ground — for viewing the leaf inside. A removable disc electrode is mounted at the top through a moulded plastic bush that insulates it from the metal body to prevent charge leakage, and the underside of this bush carries a plated metal blade for fixing the gold leaf. A terminal fitted to the side of the case allows the instrument to be earthed. Inside the chamber, a clear acrylic scale graduated from 0 to 90 degrees lets students read and compare the degree of leaf deflection produced by different charges. Charge for this electroscope to detect is typically generated using Electrostatics Ebonite and Glass Rods, letting students charge a rod by friction and then observe the resulting deflection.
