Construction and Specifications
This free-standing unit is supplied with a rod for clamping to a retort stand, along with dedicated sockets for the lamp and photo-transistor, allowing it to be positioned quickly on any bench or track for a timing experiment. Full protection against wrong connections is built in, and a red LED indicator lights up whenever the unit is obstructed, giving a clear visual cue during a run without interrupting the experiment. The unit is designed for use with a digital stopclock and timer, QED timer, Fast timer, or Scaler timer, so it drops easily into an existing timing setup.
