As a scientific lab equipment manufacturer resource, its housing enclosure is compact, portable and lightweight, moulded from shock-proof ABS plastic. A suitable sliding tray made of ABS lined with S.S. material of at least 0.8mm thickness on the side walls and bottom is provided for collecting residue and destroyed syringe tips, and suitable provision is made to burn the needle and cut the syringe tips within the unit. It is fitted with a high-carbon manual cutter to cut the syringe hub, and has adequate capacity to destroy needles ranging in size from 24G up to 18G.
