Magnets, Iron Fillings
Product Code : EL-PLE-16070
Eduscope India is a leading Magnets, Iron Fillings
Quick Answer: The Magnets, Iron Fillings set gives students a hands-on way to visualise magnetic fields and compare different magnet shapes, making it essential physics lab equipment India schools and colleges rely on for magnetism practicals — a durable, export-ready choice for institutions sourcing laboratory equipment school India wide and overseas.
Construction and Specifications
The set includes 1 horseshoe magnet, 2 rectangular magnets, and 2 cylindrical magnets, letting students compare how field shape and strength differ across magnet geometries. The smaller magnets measure 2 mm in thickness with a 10 mm diameter, and all magnets are neodymium-based for strong holding power, finished with a protective layer that minimises chipping and physical damage during regular classroom handling. The set is supplied with 3 to 5 small packages of iron filings, which scatter along magnetic field lines to make the field pattern around each magnet visible. To take these magnets further into electromagnetic induction, they are commonly used together with EduScope India's Electromagnetism Coil, and their directional effect can be compared against the Magnetic Compass.
