The Overflow Can and Bucket Set combines an aluminum overflow can with a matching catch bucket fitted with a detachable aluminum handle, giving physics laboratories a ready-to-use pairing for measuring fluid displacement in Archimedes' Principle, density, and specific gravity experiments. Aluminum Overflow Can
Machined from aluminum, the overflow can measures 4" I.D. x 5" high and holds approximately 800ml when filled to its spout. A side spout measuring 0.5" I.D. x 1.5" long sets a fixed overflow level, so displaced water drains out consistently at the same point in every trial.
Catch Bucket with Detachable Handle
The catch bucket measures 4" I.D. x 3" high and is fitted with a detachable aluminum handle, allowing it to sit under the overflow can's spout during a trial and then be lifted clear, handle removed, for weighing on a balance pan. Both the overflow can and the catch bucket are also available for purchase separately, so labs can replace or add individual pieces as needed.
