Pullinger Expansion Apparatus
Product Code : EL-PLE-16318Eduscope India is a leading Pullinger Expansion Apparatus Quick Answer:The Pullinger Expansion Apparatus is used to determine the coefficient of linear expansion of a solid metal rod, making it a practical choice ofphysics lab equipment Indiaschools and colleges use for heat-expansion experiments — a durable, export-ready pick for institutions sourcinglaboratory equipment school Indiawide and overseas.
Construction and Specifications
The apparatus consists of a tube fitted with a riffled nozzle at each end, facing opposite directions, for the inlet and outlet of steam. It is supplied complete with three different metal rods — iron, aluminium and brass — so students can heat each rod through the same rise in temperature and compare their different linear expansion, clearly demonstrating that different metals expand by different amounts under identical heating. Because the apparatus is heated by passing steam through it, it is used together with EduScope India'sSteam Generator, which supplies the continuous steam source required for the experiment.
