Eduscope India is a leading Autoclave, Vertical, Stainless Steel, Nut Locking
Autoclave, Vertical, Stainless Steel, Nut Locking is a floor-standing, double-wall pressure sterilizer from EduScope India's Autoclave range, part of the wider Laboratory Appliances line.
Construction
This is a vertical, single-chamber unit built for a larger working capacity than the range's portable, pressure-cooker-style models, and it carries a double wall around that chamber for insulation and steadier heat retention through a cycle. The inner chamber, outer wall, lid and ring are all fabricated in stainless steel, and the assembly is leak-proof, so pressure is held at the seams through repeated sterilization runs rather than seeping away between them. Where the lid meets the shell, the seal is made and released through a nut-locking mechanism — a threaded locking ring wound down over the rim to close the vessel — which is a different closing method from the radial-arm-and-steering-wheel mechanism fitted to the Radial Locking model elsewhere in this range.
Operating pressure and safety fittings
This model shares the same pressure-control fitment used across the range and is rated to operate between 5 and 20 psi. Converting that rating on the standard saturated-steam pressure/temperature relationship, 5 psi corresponds to roughly 109°C and 20 psi to roughly 126°C, with 121–126°C (15–20 psi) the typical operating band for standard steam sterilization cycles. Safety and control fittings include a pressure gauge, a safety valve, a double safety valve, a steam release valve, a vacuum release valve, a rubber gasket, an inner container, an inner tripod stand and mild steel legs.
Choosing between EduScope India's autoclave models
For smaller batches or bench-top use, EduScope India's Wing Nut Type, Aluminium Pressure Cooker and Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker Type portable autoclaves are lower-capacity alternatives suited to routine, smaller loads. Within the vertical, double-wall category, this Nut Locking model sits alongside the Radial Locking autoclave; both share the same double-wall, single-chamber build and stainless steel construction, but this model closes with a threaded locking nut where the Radial Locking version closes with radial arms turned by a steering wheel. For labs that need a higher pressure ceiling or a larger loading footprint still, the Triple Wall, High Pressure autoclave adds a third insulating wall, and the Horizontal Cylindrical Double Wall autoclave switches to a horizontal, cylindrical chamber better suited to bulkier glassware and longer items.
